following when taking taxi in
mainland China: 

 1.Taxi meterage generally ranges 
    between 5 and 10 yuan RMB the
    base. 
 2. Make sure you have RMB in 10
     yuan note for bill. 
 3. Say the name of your
     destination slowly and clearly,
     and that you do know where it
     is.

Taxycle ?

Do you think taxi and the like is the luxury enjoyed only by city slickers? Don't you think our hicks have their own taxycles? In places far away from cities where taxi drivers do not care about going, bikes are rode on bumpy and sometimes muddy country roads for taxi, carrying passengers on the back for a fee.
